It's a tower, open to the public 24/7,right next to the graveyard in Yew on the Sonoma Shard. Everything belonging to the Y has been locked down by a GM, so furniture looters, you're outta luck (as well as class)
KewL DooD could be lurking anywhere! If you see him, and he doesn't respond, he could be getting some coffee in Real Life.
Note: KewL DooD is not officially associated in any way with the fine folks that run the YMCA. He just hangs out there. And dies a lot.
The fine folks at the YMCA have provided nearly anything a trainee could want! There is a Tavern, and Inn, a Tailor center, a Library and Scribing center, a Conference Room, Archery targets, Training Dummies and Dips, Forge, and an Anvil.
God bless 'em, ev'ry one!
RooLZ 4 the YMCA - copied from their web page!
1.Polite, mature behavior is expected of all patrons at all times. Cursing, spamming, insults, racist remarks, and other derogatory use of language will not be tolerated.
2.Patrons are expected to comply with any reasonable requests from the staff of the YMCA.
3.The Tavern is for visiting, drinking, eating and cooking only.
4.The Library is a place you may find the lore and fiction of our lands. Do not remove or alter of any library books on our shelves.
5.Tamed pets inside and outside the building are protected and shall not be harmed or tampered with.
6.Sparring/dueling is an accepted activity on the roof only. Sparring is the term we use to encompass many activities: use of weapons, wrestling, magic practice, magic summoning, snooping, and stealing.
7.Sparring is to be done with mutual consent of BOTH parties. Do not attack/steal/snoop anyone without prior consent or your actions will be deemed aggressive.
8.NO use of the spells Chain Lightening, Earthquake, Blade Spirit, or Energy Vortex. These spells break the rule of "Consensual Sparring" as you instantly attack everyone in the building, or in the case of EV or Blade Spirit you can not control who is or isn't attacked.
9.There is to be NO LOOTING in the YMCA. In the case of a death (accidental or otherwise) on the premises a staff member will pick up the items from the corpse. If the staff determines that a person whom they killed in enforcing these rules was not acting with malicious intent and is not likely to continue their unacceptable behavior, their items may be returned to them.
Having said that, people who are new to UO should NOT bring anything particularly valuable!!! The Y can get pretty rough at times!
KewL DooD chillin' with the RPG DooDs - this was some kind of quest about the Lurker....I came in on the middle of it. I sat in the back like KewL DooDs do.....Reminded me of Junior High. And no, they weren't talking about me....it was tied in with the FOA thing, I think. That is Ceridwen standing at the front, in blue. He is quite the KewL RPG-type fellow. | ![]() |
